Championing Sustainable Urban Drainage

This week saw us revisiting one of our favourite local projects – Hitachi in Trowbridge. Director Gemma Griffin visited site with BBC Radio Wiltshire to give breakfast show listeners a glimpse into the ideas behind the rain gardens which play such an important role in the drainage and the setting for the site. Describing how environmental problem-solving and beautiful landscapes go hand in hand, you can listen to Gemma’s interview below. On the other end of the spectrum, we’re excited to be working on one of Shanghai’s large ‘Sponge City’ sites in the centre of this ever-expanding city. Innovative solutions to sustainable development are booming in China and sites like our ‘sponge city’ masterplan have a huge role to play in how we can positively shape urban growth: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/dec/28/chinas-sponge-cities-are-turning-streets-green-to-combat-flooding
