Project Details

Conversion of existing row of Victorian terraced houses and proposed new contemporary extension, for use as state of the art pre-natal medical facility in Dulwich, South London.  In consultation with the Fetal Medical Foundation, we designed a series of private courtyards to support the holistic medical approach embraced by the Client as well as creating a new arrival space and restoring the existing historic frontage.

Design Details

  • Marrying of old and new - restoration of existing dilapidated Victorian façade as a frontage for the site
  • Reinstatement of traditional railings, Yorkstone steps, balustrades and evocative soft landscaped gardens
  • Set of contemporary private courtyards within the medical facility
  • New arrival space focused around group of mature existing trees
  • Private roof terraces with raised planters, seating areas and focal sculpture
  • Biodiversity roof over contemporary extension
