Sustainability

People + Nature

We enjoy creating spaces to enable both people and nature to thrive – from cities to fields and everything in-between.  Our work has a direct impact on the health the planet, as well as the opportunity to educate and inspire others to do their bit.  We all know that people value landscapes and green spaces when they feel a personal connection to them and it’s this balance of beauty and science which we as Landscape Architects need to get right to address the environmental challenges that lay ahead.

“No one will protect what they don’t care about, and no one will care about what they have never experienced.” David Attenborough

Bio-diversity + Work-Diversity

We like to spread our wings wide, covering a broad range of project sectors and scales.  Our first question is always – what is special about this place?  And how can we embrace this?  By looking at the natural and cultural history of a place, we look to work with, rather than against, the nature of a place.  Not afraid to ask the difficult questions, we prompt projects to work harder to achieve resilient spaces, underpinned by rich green + blue infrastructure.  And we maintain that our own health and wellbeing is underpinned by healthy, thriving ecosystems.

Re I sources

The construction industry is a significant contributor to greenhouse gasses.  We are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of developments, pushing for sustainable specifying, re-use and up-cycling, promoting walking and cycling and championing strong stewardship of our green spaces.

We are constantly building, learning, challenging and striving so that we can continue to improve – pursuing incremental, small, everyday steps while also chasing the bigger, bolder ideas.
